So, Another airsoft game is coming up and I am super stoked. Heres why...

On Friday, I will be leaving ottawa at 6pm to Montreal for the night game that only a few top memebers are coming out to. On Saturday, I will be receiving my new oder of gear, including my BRAND NEW MP5SD5(Pictured here)!!!! Its totally epic! Plus, I will have brand new CADPAT Uniform, which to those who dont know, is the current camo of the Canadian military, and a Holosight RedDot 551 scope for CQB games. Later on, I will be getting myself a rig so I can buy some extra magazines for the MP5 and a gas mask for some added fun, maybe photos later on. Its totally sick, Ill have photos up on sunday after work.

Combat Arms once more

Hey again, Im going to bore you once more with shit you might not care about but something I find interesting.
Combat Arms.
Earlier on, they added some new features in the game that allows you to permanetly switch your default gun with something better like a ak 47 or a mp5 or whatever, and I decided I wantto get it, but Im torn by what I want to get, Its either down to the trust worthy MP5, or the Famas which I rarely have used and not familiar with, or for a more exspensive option, the M590 Shotgun which I have used, am familiar with, and is easier to kill with, however, its shotgun, and does not have that spray the Assault rifles have, which helps since, to be honest, I dont have the BEST aim in the world. So since more people (yeah like 5 random people that got the wrong web address) read this blog than my Combat arms one, I want other peoples opinions on what I shoud get, based on the info I gave you and this: Mps is the cheapest, but is only a SMG which is lower mag size, and not as powerful. The Famas is meadium value and is assualt so its harder and stronger, however I dont use it alot so I cant use it well. The Shotgun is the most exspensive and is only pump action so its slow, but I can use it fairly well and it is the most powerful.

Manitoba

Hey guys,

RIght now I am packing up to head off to Manitoba for a week. I havent really talked about it, but I've had this trip planed for about 6 months and have been looking forward to it ever since. Im heading off tomorrow morning, then going to be there until the 31st. Its going to be fun.

The main reason why I'm down there is because we are having a sort of, family gathering. not much as a reiunion. This is becuase not everyone is going to be there, and since the Sabads are spread all over Canada, its not easy coming every year, so he only have it maybe every once in a while. Last time I remeber heading out to manitoba was way back when my grandmother died. Not alot of fun there seeing a big part of my life come to an end, but it was fun to see alot of my extended family once again. I actually have alot of fond memories in my grandparents old house. Infact, after thinking about it yesterday, I remember that house, more than the house I grew up in while I was in Cold Lake. Its really weird...


Oh, forgot. Sorry, I was off being nistalgic for a second there. Anyways, I will be over there for a while so my nect few posts will be from there (if I get internet. Not sure yet) So I hope to send you guys some photos.

New Me

Hey! I got some news I want to share. I found this new app in the itunes store that helps plot out your calorie intake and all this stuff to help you reach a goal in the near future. I really like this new app since as its not a secret, Im pretty much overwieght. To be frank, Im suprised I'm still not legally obese. Well anyways, I am setting out to get to my goal of 180. Now, it tells me I should make this by May 2,2010. HOW AMAZING IS THAT?! Its helping me budget my calories, and it has a built in booklet of major foods and their calories, as well has exsercises, and how much calories they burn. they even have household walking in there! its amazing how well Im going to keep trak of my weight loss. So by may 2010, Im going to be a new person, over 100 pounds lighter! YEAH!! See you then!

SUCCESS!

I have some AWESOME NEWS!!! As you may know, I have been a bit down on my luck... No job, debt sneaking up on me, just alot of money issues.

WELL NO MORE!!! MUHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

I finnaly have a JOB!! Again, its not the most glamorous job in the world but hey, As much as I dont like to eat there, they have some sweet ass benifits for their employees, Such as 10/ hour wages! Dental! All that stuff! SO anyways, New job for me! However, there is one thing that might stand in my way.

For the last 6 months, I've had a trip to Manitoba booked for a family reunion. I leave on the 23rd for a week. Its the 12th now! that means as soon as I start working there, I have to ask for time off! So its either ask for time off, and hope they let me, miss the trip that I have been waiting for 6 months to go to, or quit my new job to go on the trip, which is not much of an option for me. I'll have to figure it out later today.

THERE MIGHT BE A CHANCE!!!

Hey everyone! Not much photo related going on. Other than some possible jobs I havent actually taken any photos since the 'secret' one I had with a former co-worker. But the real reason why Im posting today is becuase I might still have a chance at a job yet. Now, its not the GREATEST job in the world, and its not retail, which I was hoping for, but it DOES come with some great benifits, and pays REALLY well, so I think I'll be more than "HAPPY" with it. (kinda a dead give away, isnt it?)

Also, again, since I havent been working and have ALOT of spare time, I've been playing alot of Combat Arms online. I truly recommend any gamers to try it out and see what they think. Its a decent Free 2 Play that comes with over 50+ weapons, around 9,10 maps, and hundreds of customization abilities like camo, face gear, helmets, whatever! If you are a reader to my blog, you'll have noticed I have a couple videos up from my game play. the web site is right here



and tell me what yo thought of it. For you Mac users like me, you'll have to get boot camp running to be able to play it since its a Windows only game, tough luck.

Dam it all

Well, Hello once again.

Im not particularly in a good mood, mainly because things have been just going to hell, and I cant really find a way to stop. First off, as seen in the last post, I have lost one of my good friends because he cant keep his grubby hands off of stuff, but also, I STILL haven't been able to find a job in 4 months, which is really bringing a toll on my finance, So I haven't been able to afford anything I want, and barley anything I need. And lastly, the job I had come closest to, rejected me for 'unknown' reasonings, mainly because the head office of said company only sends a 'yes' or 'no' back to the store, so I have no idea what made them say no. What I'm trying to say is, I'm in a bad time right now. My social life is near zero, my bank account is dry, and I have no way of knowing how to change that, and what I guess Im looking for right now is either, a job opportunity, or someone to help cheer me up, that an just being able to say this stuff and hope someone hears me, and says "Don't worry Ryan, it will get better" instead of the usual banter I receive in the comments, from people who I don't know, or people I do, but wont say who they are, which I think is stupid. Well anyways, Im off to go find something to do, since I have absolutely nothing to do since I have no job and all my existing friends are off at theirs.

Hello everyone,

Once again, I come to you with a serious matter.

As a photographer, I often deal with copyrights. When I take a photo of someone, I always get verbal consent from them, and if needed, written. I also always (unless otherwise stated) Copyright my photos, to try and prevent people from stealing my photos and using them without my permission. However, sometimes it isn't enough. In a recent situation, a close friend of mine had taken one of my photos and removed my copyright from it, and began claiming it as his own, as if HE took it. When I brought it to his attention, he began to curse me out and started claiming it was his. I just want people to know, I do not tolerate people stealing from me and claiming it as their work, it is rude, and illegal, so please do not do such acts. No usually I would just continue to ask him to replace it with the original, which is available on my flickr. In fact, I don't mind if people show off their photo I took if they keep the copyright on it, but when they remove it claiming it as their own, they cross the line. So I would like people to know, DON'T claim my work as yours. It is rude, it is stupid, and ILLEGAL. So all I can say to this person (which i have no idea why Im keeping it secret), I hope you like the inside of a court room, because you will be seeing it for a long while if you don't drop this now.

Hello once again. Last time I wrote, I was drunk blogging in a motel in Shawville. can you say sketchy? By the way, I deeply apologize for that, it wasnt one of my best moments.

Anyways, I would like to soberly tell you about my day yesterday. I had spent the entire day out past the scotiabank place, shooting at people... Ok you got me, it was just airsoft. You guys are so good at calling my bluffs! Anyways, yes, yesterday was the first game I actually played, so I didn't take a huge amount of photos, however I had my assistant join me because I want to get him into it too and he took some photos too. I had some fun, and going to be working on the photos soon.

However, before those photos are done, I have a project I am helping my brother's girlfriend with. I have very little info, but all I know is its no smoking and pregnancy. I can work with that.

Also, while I am working on the photos for Airsoft,and some older ones, I will be making a video, of a work session of mine. This will include a time lapse of me working, my webcam sped up for my movement and such, and some other angles. I think its going to be pretty cool. it will be posted on the site when its done.

Cat head warmer(My laptop)

HELLO THAR!!

Currnetly, my cat has fallen asleep on my keyboard, so if Imake any mistakes, I have no access to my backspaer key. DAM IT!! theres one right there!OMG. Ok whatever, continuing on!

I had shot the skateboard design only to have my photoshop removed from my laptop the day bafroe becuase I decided to re image my laptop, completly starting from scratch. Now I have to go back to the school to get them to reinstall it, which I tried to do today, but loe and behold, the only teachers that can install it are not in that day. CURSES!!! So I have to come in tomorrow, before my test, to get the teachers to put it on, and then wirte a test that I shold be doing amazing on (as long as I can stay awake.)

So there goes a whole boatload of mistakes. Blasted Cat! but hes so cuuuuuuuuute! awwwwwwww.

SO anyways, no photoshop for me for a bit, but I should be getting back to normal soon. Im actually missing alot of programs, like my CD burning program, not that I used it a whole lot, but I may need it again soon. Also my Hotspot sheild IP address blocker, so I can watch all my MTV shows that cant be aired in Canada... In Canada... Long story. And my Audio riping program, so I can pirate my own music... I mean...uhhh... NOT pirate music...but....uuuummmm...enjoy...music from the internet....more...YEah, thats it...enjoy internet music more...yeah.

So its been a couple days since the last post, and a couple weeks since the last post about photography, well Im back to normal (for a while) and here to talk to you about my next thing Im doing. My photos (or at least one) is going to be featured on a local skateboard company, Square One Skateboard's, Newest line of decks!!! YESAH! I cant really say what is happening, but all I can say is cookies are involved, which is awesome. With this post, you can see I have put some of my previous work that I have done with them. I am actually working on some old studio stuff of them I had on my broken hard drive so I gotta ge that done too. So Ill tell you how the shoot went when everything is said and done.

Wow, its been a while. Anyways, I have once again used some of my spare time to make another Combat Arms Video, But tis time, with a third person camera, which is totally sick. I did alot better video editing too so it might be a bit better than the last.



Anyways, Also here to tell you I need a guitarist for a photoshoot coming up next Sunday or the 29, I beleive. I'm bringing in a drummer and we are going to have a session so if we had a guitarist, we might just make it a jam session. Also during that photoshoot, a cauligue of mine, DJ Brickell (Not an actualy DJ so dont ask for some tunes) and shoot with me so its going to be fun. So again, anyone wwho can play a guitar, feel free to post a comment saying you do and you want to come along. NOT TOLERABLE

hello everyone, Just want you to let you know, that this next post is about a very serious topic. Something we should not take lightly, and should be addressed properly, and that is why I am inforimg you what has happened this last month.

Last month, on Feb 15, 2009, a teen named Kenny Glenn, under the name "Timmy" in his video, had postd two videos to youtube (which have been since removed) of him, physically abusing his cat Dusty. I myself am a at lover, I have two of my own, Bacardi and Sprite, and yes, they are named after the drinks. Anyways, this punk and his brother (the filmer) abuse this cat TWICE by slaming it against the wall, putting the cat in the shower with water running and REPEATEDLY beat the cat to neath death. I have seen these videos and am OUTRAGED with this child. This act of violence is inacuseable and he should with out a doubt be charged for his actions. I would more than love to see him not only fined but if possible, serve jail time for this. I can see it now:

"So why you in here?"
"I killed and raped my wife. You?"
"I beat a defensless cat to near death."
"You sick peice of garbage."

If you support the cause to have this boy and his brother charged for this sensless act of stupidity, go to the Kenny-Glenn.net webste, and call the numbers that are posted on the site. Call the mom, tell her that you disapprove of her son, tell the attourney general and tell them you will not stand for this, do whatever you must do, even if you have to pay long distance calls, DO NOT LET THIS PUNK GET AWAY WITH THIS! This punk has had to to good to think that he must beat an animal 1/8 of his size to entertain himself.

So please, do what you can and support the cause to have this boy charged. it may have nothing to do with photography, but it has everything to do about kindness and respect to animals.

Recently I downloaded a program called Fraps, which allows me to record myself in any PC videogame, such as Call of Duty 4, or my all time favorite, Combat Arms! since I downloaded it, I have recorded myself owning every last person in sight in Combat Arms, and Im currently posting it on youtube. as soon as its done, and veiwable, I will post the link. OMG OVERLOAD!!!

ok, I have gotten myself WAY over my head recently by going to too many places, and taking too many photos. Because of this, I have 30 different people (Not kidding, at LEAST 30 people) Asking me, where are the photos, for several different events. But I brought it upon myself, So Im going to try and fix it. this is what Ill do:

HEADSHOT!!!

YEAH!!!! Oh man! Montreal was KICK ass, Lotsa photos, however it was really dark so I had to pump the ISO to like 4000, so everything will look grainy-ish, not no matter, it was still epic. I even got to play in a match at one point, but only to ruin it by droping the gun into a puddle, running into a doorframe and getting team killed. At least I still got to fire some rounds off. I also got my hands on a Shemagh, which I will use in some studio photos no doubt. Also, some new hockey photos taken which I think will be the best yet. Man, I got some stories to tell. At one point I was in a room with two players on one team, who were trapped by gun fire from the other team, now what happened was the other team was constantly throwing gernades (little paper balls filled with BBs and dried peas with an explosive powder lit on fire) into the room, but one had bounced off a pillar, and a FOOT infront of me, and I was backed into a corner. Now, the two people in the room are now laughing their asses off at me, and so I decide to turn around, save the camera and get it up my ass, but what happened was the nade went off, but it was a weak nade, and didnt hit me at all! I laughed at the guy who was throwing the nades and told him to fix his formula. But yes, this thing was WAY too fun.

So, I have talked to one of the guys leaving the comments on my flickr, and we have come to an understanding, which is great since I didnt think we would, but we did, so now I'm ok with him. But as you may probably not notice, I have changed the sub-header on the main page. That was his request, which I understand. Now, the reason why I put that up, is because when I worked at Black's, the assistant manager was a professional photographer, when I talked to him, he always felt that due to the large technological advances and the cheaper things are getting, photography is getting more main stream, and more exercisable to everyone, and more and more people are calling themselves photographer, just because they owned DSLR cameras, and took photos of their sons/daughters sporting event and sends them out everywhere and calls them professional, which I felt it true, but some dont feel the same. So anyways, me and that one guy are fine with each other, now I just have to deal with the other ones, which I think will be easy to do.


So I am currently working on a project with someone at Ottawa U, on their advertising project. Now, the project is on a ad campaign, for... VIAGRA! So I've been doing alot of 'inappropriate' photos, which, I think is pretty funny, but yeah, its different. In fact, the is one, which I am NOT showing to my family, mainly because I had to do some web searching that I immediately had to clear my history for. Anyways, I have to get back to class, it was break moment, so I got to go learn some stuff.

So Lately, I've been having some stupid stuff happen to me. Some childish students in my photography program at algonquin have been making rude and immature comments about my photos on flickr, which it should go without saying, grow up. The reason why they are doing it is becuase they dont agree with me on a couple of topic, like for one, when some one is insanely rude to you, I feel that you should stick up for yourself, however to them, they think you should stay quiet and let those people walk all over you, which I did none of. Now becuase of that, they think Im an idiot, and have to slander everything I do, just becuase when someone is too stuborn to apologize for being WAY OUT OF LINE rude, I decided I didnt want to be in the same program as them, But that is behind me, I dont care about that anymore, for all I care they are dead to me. However, the other students have not let this go, and now are making my time at algonquin a painful one. Some of you are probably reading this now. Good for you, I hope you enjoy my Blog, but if you feel the need to be jerks about it, please, just keep it to yourself, I do it when I dont agree with you, you do the same please.

So anyways, other than that, things are going pretty well, I have my friends, I have some pretty exciting things on the line, but things can always get better, which they should be in around this time. So Anyways, I have some new stuff coming up, they should be done within the next few days, hopefully I didn leave my clients in wait too long, but it will be over soon.

So no real specific this time, but maybe next post I'll have some actual news for everyone.

Ah today... Today is one special day, that rarely  ever happens during the Winter. This type of day are mostly seen during summer and spring times and are one of the best day out there. Yes, I am talking about a LAZY SATURDAY! Its just so OBVIOUS! they look outside is bright and clam, the faint noises of street life out side, one common sound of a plane going by, I cant describe it anymore than I already have, but today is meant to be a lazy spent day. CURSE ME! this day will be spent WORKING and BUSINg all over the place, no lazy time given at all! Oh well, I am devoted to my work and must go out and shoot, but for everyone else, THIS day and many days like this during the winter or fall, should be CAPITALIZED and not wasted. trust me on that. It is what me must do.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to say hey and give you an update on everything. I recently bought a pop up flash blocker from Henry's and they said it should be in Tuesday, which has already past, so they then told me Friday. So Today is Friday and I am here waiting for the call from them about my new purchase, which is weird becuase I ALREADY called them about it, and they said " oh, yeah, we just got a shipment in." But hey still havent told me if its in or not, so I have to wait still to figure out if they got it or not.

So Currently, I am waiting at Algonquin College after signing out a Sinc Cable, which is used to connect me camera to the studio lights (Studio Time tomorrow!) and I also picked up a 10.5mm Fisheye as well, so Im pretty jacked up right now on going to take photos. Again, I do have one spot open if you want to come by the studio from 1pm - 4pm to get FREE photos done, it like a promo I am doing.

Another thing going on is I currently had my External hard drive fixed and am slowly getting the stuff done on it. for those in need of photos that were trapped on there, what I will be doing is giving them all out in bulk, so that means all the halloween stuff will come out at the same time the September and everything like that so if you dont get your photos right away, this is the reason why.

on the topic of photos...wait, thats what I'm always talking about... whatever, ANYWAYS, I also have some hockey stuff to do. this will be done BEFORE any hard drive stuff, due to the fear of forgetting it all together, because, there is some AWESOME fight shots from that night, Ill tell you that! I dont want to have this stuff just lost forever, this is good stuff!

School Travels

SO, I'm heading down to school today becuase my external hard drive has a busted connection so I need a new casing for it, but while I'm down there I have to drop off some school work for a class mate.  Also, if I get the chance, I'm going to get photoshop on my bro's laptop. So I've got a busy day ahead of me...Oh yeah, I'm heading down to Henry's to pick up a pop-up flash blocker I got on special order. YEAH!! I can now do some slave flash stuff! Hey, this is my first time trying to make something like this so it may be total crap at first, but hey, ill fix it later on. Im a photographer, and I take photos. I have done alot of stuff. Hockey, skateboarding, clubs, construction, special events, that type of stuff. With this blog thingamagiger, I will tell you my story as I visit clients, go on trips, and do jack all. I hope you will learn what it is like to be a new photographer and what it means to take photos for people. As I go along, Ill try to figure out how to post photos and so you can see what my work is like, hopefully allowing you to hire me for random jobs you need doing.
